Mai Skou Fotografi was founded in 2020 by owner and photographer Mai Skou Wihlborg. The gallery is located at the center of Aarhus near the charming Latinerkvarter and has a view of the vibrant waterfront and harbour in Aarhus.
The gallery has several exhibitions, mainly by photographer Mai Skou Wihlborg. Mai uses a mix of analog and digital techniques to achieve an array of beautifully textured, singular pieces of photographic art. Whether by the process of polaroid lifts of palladium/platinum prints, the pieces are always unique and made to order. Sustainability matters to Mai which is why the frames are typically required at places such as ReUse Aarhus.
The gallery currently exhibits pieces by artist Ulrik Witt as well.
